The Library Discovery System will help searchers:

• Find books and other resources located in the library
• Find articles that relate to their topic
• Allow access to materials online
• Show the researcher materials that can be requested on Interlibrary Loan

Many of the books found in our Worldcat Library Discovery System can be borrowed from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan if we do not own them.. Sorry, we cannot request eBooks for Interlibrary Loan, due to licensing restrictions. 

The library offers a couple of different means of Interlibrary Loan for books:

PALShare. You may request books directly from any PALNI library. The books will be delivered to RichLyn Library and may be checked out for 60 days.

Request Item Through Interlibrary Loan Form. Used for all other books not owned by PALNI libraries. These will be delivered to RichLyn Library where you may pick them up. The LOANING libraries set the loan period on these books. 

Books from libraries in Indiana usually take anywhere from a few days to two weeks. We will notify you when your requested book(s) arrives and you may pick them up at the library. When the books are due you may return them to RichLyn library and we will get them back to the loaning library.  Please be prompt in returning the books when they are due.
