Library Services

Public Access and Research Computers

Computers are available on the main level of the library for research and a require a guest login for community use. Huntington Community Residents are welcome to use the computers for one hour per day.

Printing/Scanning/Copying

Students may use their ID cards for printing, scanning and copying on the Multi-Function Printers (MFP) located around the campus. 

Non-HU patrons will need library staff help to use the networked printer located behind the Service Desk paying $.10/side for black+white or $.50/side for color.

Computer Lab

The computer lab in the library is located on the main level and is provided by Information & Technology Services and holds 15 PCs providing the full range of campus software with access for Huntington University students and personnel.  Occasionally the lab will be used for library instruction classes.  A notice will be put out at the beginning of the day regarding instructional usage.  Several other PCs are located on the main level for students to use while class is in session.

Laptops and Wireless

Wireless access is available throughout the building provided you have an HU username and password. Campus Guests may use the guest access if they wish to use their laptops on the wireless network.

Laptops and iPads for use by HU students and personnel are available for checkout at the Library Service Desk.  They are 1-week loans and $1.00/day late fines.  Renewal or hold option depends upon availability.

Other AV Equipment

DSLRs, DARs, and camcorders for for use by HU students and personnel are available for checkout at the Library Service Desk.  They are 1-week loans and $1.00/day late fines.

DVD players with HDMI and headphones are available for use in the Library from the Service Desk.

There is a DVD, Blu-Ray, and VHS station on the Lower Level.

Faxing

Library patrons may send and receive faxes from the library office. Faxing charges are $1.00 per page to send and 50¢  per page to receive. Please see the Library Administrative Assistant or Access Services Assistant if you would like to send or receive a fax.

Microfilm/fiche Reader/Printer

The Microform Collection is located on the Lower Level. A reader/printer with scanning and electronic transmission capabilities is located in the United Brethren Historical Center. Please contact the Historical Center Director to use this machine.
