After 1889 the Telescope became the publication of The Church of the United Brethren in Christ (New Constitution). It merged with the Evangelical Messenger after 1946 to become the Telescope-Messenger. The Religious Telescope Digitization Project is an ongoing work that digitizes sections of the Religious Telescope required for study by genealogists and researchers. Each issue is digitized on "as needed" basis. Not all sections of each issue are digitized. Many sections are made up of articles reprinted from other religious periodicals and beyond the scope of this project. Finding aids are available and are continually updated as new issues become available. Check below for the different finding aids available. If you do not see the issue you need, contact the Historical Center to request that it be added to the list. Please allow four to six weeks for the Historical Center to process your request.
